+81 JAPAN CREATIVE GALLERY is pleased to present “HIDEKI NAKAJIMA & HIDEKI INABA GRAPHIC EXHIBITION.” The exhibition brings together two graphic designers/artists in New York for the first time. Hideki Nakajima was born in Saitama and initially aspired to be an illustrator, but upon finding the works of Peter Saville, he changed his course and established Nakajima Design in 1995. Nakajima produced a variety of advertising and package designs, along with an extensive array of personal artworks. He is also the art director of the magazine CUT. Nakajima has contributed his work to Revival, TYPO-GRAPHICS, and collaborated with Ryuichi Sakamoto, and has received numerous awards including the New York Art Directors Club Gold Medal in 1996. His works are in the collections of numerous museums including MOMA (New York), The Bibliotheque National de France, Boston University, and Guangdong Museum of Art (Guangzhou) among others. www.nkjm-d.com Hideki Inaba is a self-taught graphic designer and artist based in Tokyo. He is responsible for the distinctive look of the GAS BOOK series, the magazines SAL and +81. In 2004, Inaba initiated his personal project titled NEWLINE.
